Beth is currently working towards an AHRC-sponsored PhD in Medieval History at the University of Birmingham. Her particular focus is on the miraculous and marvellous in Latin narrative histories of the crusades (c.1095-c.1291), and the development of these topics more broadly across Western Europe throughout this period. She completed both her BA (Hons) Ancient and Medieval History (2007-2010) and MA Medieval History (2010-2011) at the University of Birmingham.
The EMREM Forum first came under Beth’s radar when she was studying for her Masters in 2010. She later joined the committee in 2012, and looks forward to playing an active role in the future of the Forum. Beth hopes that EMREM will continue to contribute to the thriving postgraduate community from which she has so benefited during her studies to date.
